About Mia Fiorentino

Currently Based: Philadelphia, PA
Mia Fiorentino was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, but spent most of her childhood in central New Jersey. She moved to Baltimore, MD in 2009 to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Painting with a concentration in Theatre.
Through her time in school and the years spent in Baltimore thereafter, she was able to find a voice that is at once earnest and wry, contemplative and cheeky. She works in varying media on paper and canvas and loves to strike a balance between making a big mess and finding moments of clarity and detail.
Mia has recently moved to Philadelphia. Excited to explore a new place and her own family history in the area, Mia is looking forward to continuing her journey as a painter in this culturally rich city.
